Ivano-Frankivsk Archdiocese Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church writes: “Thank you very much for your assistance to the IDPs [internally displaced people] who have found shelter in the archdiocesan retreat house here. Your help gives valuable support. The ongoing war against Ukraine has created a severe humanitarian crisis with no signs of immediate improvement. A considerable portion of Ukraine’s population lacks access to fundamental services such as water, electricity and heating and food supplies are dwindling. The instability and violence of the war has forced more and more people to flee their homes. Many individuals have lost their homes and possessions and are left without a roof over their heads. The demand for food, hygiene products, bed blankets, bed pillows, bed linen, and washing and drying machines is crucial, both for those fleeing the war and for vulnerable families grappling with the war’s economic repercussions. With this in mind, we would like to sincerely thank you for your kindness and understanding. With your financial support we have purchased the above necessities for the internally displaced people (women, children and elderly people) sheltering in our retreat house here.”
